Learn to harness your own Vintage Magic!
One of SJ's serious passions is antique and vintage items. They really love curiosities and oddities, kitsch, vintage toys / electronics, and midcentury modern housewares. After being sidelined with back surgery in 2020, SJ decided to open a successful part time vintage resale store online to help make ends meet.
Along with SJ's normal discussions about haunted bricks and fortean subjects, followers on our social media have been begging for lessons on how to identify, find, price, and of course sell vintage objects to make some extra money.
Mirroring the pattern of everything else in SJ's life synchronicities began to emerge in this arena, too.
Adapting and working with intuitive techniques to locate old items at estate sales and thrift stores (with a major kick start from Mortellus, the Bagans Slayer and the magical talisman they helped make with SJ's father) combined with decades of nerding out and researching old stuff led to what they call "Vintage Magic!"
The best part is that anyone can learn to do this. Like everything else in life, you can use all kinds of techniques (ranging from the practical to high "woo" intuitive and magical craft work) to jumpstart your own brand of Vintage Magic.
SJ can show show you how to make some extra cash and avoid pitfalls we made when they started out. They even have step by step lessons on how to get started as part of the content on their rebranded Patreon.
Another Patreon, huh? Why support my work?
When my co-host Andrea and I launched Two Witches Podcast back in 2020, I never dreamed that talking about the high strangeness that my research into type of local historic brick would lead to the discovery of local secrets that the Catholic church desperately wanted to keep Hidden.
The podcast was an amazing experience and connected me to so many brilliant people who changed my life and became friends. It also majorly stressed me out to try to put out content on a regular basis, as I'm not naturally a "tech person". After Andrea had to bow out for family obligations, the stress of running the show alone increased and the magic seemed to be lost. That project is now wrapping up the final episodes, and my current focus is trying to tell the Providence Academy story in print format instead - a book.
"Vintage, Schmintage, BOOORING." - You.
Okay - first of all, yes, I'm silently judging you - deal with it. But even if making extra money or learning about old stuff isn't an interest of yours (no bitcoin accepted here, sorry), you still might want to think about kicking a few bucks our way.
You'll be the first to see "Hidden Brick Mojo" (working title of the book) come to life as we post completed chapters before anyone else. My goal is a finished chapter a month, and your funds will help keep me accountable. You'll also have access to the Patreon-only bonus Two Witches Podcast episodes that not available to the general public on a variety of topics. Patrons also will get to VOTE on what bonus content you want to see. There are also a lot of perks to being part of "Team Brick" we haven't talked about publicly, too. We have several tiers for Patrons available, starting at just $1.

What's so Magical about selling old stuff anyway?
Have a look at some of MoJo's Vintage Boutique's recent feedback, and then tell us this isn't actual MAGIC in action.
This 1890s Roslyn, Washington Hutchinson soda bottle's buyer had been looking for this item their entire adult life. He even went out to Roslyn with special permission to dig for bottles for two days at the old bottling site and found none intact. They also have family ties to Roslyn.
Years later, SJ found his "Holy Grail" at a sale in Battle Ground, Washington and listed it on etsy -- they also made friends while bonding over old stuff during the transaction. This is serious Vintage Magic!
Bringing someone's beloved Grandma back for a moment? We call that Vintage Magic!
What kinds of other bonus content will Patrons get?
Other perks for Patrons besides Vintage Magic! content includes live stream events to chat with me about anything you want and monthly Patreon only contests - because we just love to give stuff away!
Patrons will also receive a monthly code for a 10% discount in SJ's Etsy store Mojo's Vintage Boutique if vintage is your thing too!
UPDATE October 2022: SJ's Patreon focus has shifted to their research on the Hidden Bricks, Indigenous children, and the book in progress. Vintage Magic lessons are less regular, but all past content is still available in Patreon.
